Petersfield CLT is in the process of obtaining outline planning permission for the self-build plots at Reservoir Lane. This outline planning will cover matters relating to access and layout. They will seek detail permission for the infrastructure and 2 rented homes on site. All other individual plot matters will be reserved for individual plot holders to seek approval for from South Downs National Park Authority. Full planning approval can be granted via a successful reserved matters application which includes the appearance, massing, landscaping, and scale of a proposed self-build house.
A Design Code comprising of both mandatory and suggested elements will be agreed with South Downs National Park Authority at outline planning stage. It sets out a collective and cohesive set of parameters within which self-builders will have the opportunity to design and create unique homes. Self-builders and their design professionals applying for reserved matters approval for their home will need to follow the mandatory guidelines set out in the Design Code. The collective parameters and values set out will keep the development in line with the design policies of the South Downs National Park Authority.
The full design code will be available to download from this page once finalised.
